Alex Edwards is the creator and artist behind Tokyo6Tattoo. He has vast experience within the tattoo industry having worked within various tattoo studios over the years.
Alex’s passion and expertise is in Neo Traditional Japanese tattoos as well as black and grey. Neo Japanese tattoos are an amalgamation of a Japanese base mixed with different aspects of pop culture, past art history movements and his own unique artistic interpretation. This enables Alex to create personalised, one-off pieces of art.
Offering tattoos for everyone, Alex is highly experienced in large or small scale projects and can offer tattoos in a variety of styles.
Bespoke Tattoos
By focusing solely on individual clients, Alex can design and create bespoke, timeless tattoos of the highest quality. Alex thoroughly enjoys creating unique pieces that are only yours and is included in the price of your tattoo.
He understands that you will have a certain image of how you want your piece to look and will work with you to achieve that. However, he will also tell it like it is if a certain design does not work with a particular placement on the body or would look better in a different composition.
Cover-ups
If you’ve fallen out of love with, regret or just simply want to change your tattoo Alex has a wealth of experience in cover-ups. It is not without challenges though and, when designing a tattoo cover up, there are several considerations. The most important is the colour in the old tattoo and how they mix with the new inks colour, Alex will work out a strategy that maximises the use of colours and placement of the new tattoo design over the old one. This will be done in consultation with you and every step of the process explained.
Booking
Before booking an appointment / consultation please have reference images to hand to help with the design process and to give an idea of what you are looking for.
Pricing varies from piece to piece and is dependent on size, placement, and detail. For big projects or sleeve work, an hourly rate will be discussed and agreed, as this will take multiple sessions to complete.
Consultations are FREE. Any bookings made after this require a non-refundable booking fee to secure your chosen day and time. The booking fee is redeemable against the total price paid on the day of your tattoo.
If you need to reschedule or change your existing appointment, we require 48 hours notice. Failure to turn up to your appointment or giving less than 48 hours notice will result in your booking fee being forfeit and all future bookings will require full payment up front.
